about me-the wildwood moth 2.jpg

Welcome to the beautiful and creative world of photographer, seasonal storyteller and content creator Alice Tatham where life moves in harmony with the seasons, captured in evocative imagery of the ever-evolving changes in nature along the Jurassic coast.

“I want to be able to live as creatively as possible” says Alice, whose story shows her determination to do just that. Her tale weaves through a rich tapestry of artistic endeavours beginning with a childhood passion for art, which led to a freelance career in Textile Surface pattern design spanning continents and decades. Alice holds a life-long love of nature and the West Country, a place she has always called home, and now enjoys a slower pace of coastal living with her family. Working from home in her Dorset studio overlooking the garden she created, filled with flowers, fruit trees and vegetable beds, she is constantly inspired by the natural world and her surroundings which she explores and documents with her camera on a daily basis, sharing her discoveries on her Instagram feed @thewildwoodmoth

“I find such solace in daily walks capturing on camera everyday moments in time and changes of season- cow parsley-filled hedgerows, bluebell woods and the way the changing light falls on the sea. Photography has been a passion throughout my life. I honestly believe that being outside in nature and taking the time to notice the small things really does bring true happiness”
