Merlin Farm- North Cornwall

Photos from an early Autumn stay at Merlin Farm in North Cornwall. I love North Cornwall, it’s a place I have been coming to all my life and there is something so magical about this part of the world. The dramatic coastline, the stunning beaches, the surf and walks along the coast path, there is so much to see and enjoy doing. Merlin Farm is in Mawgan Porth set back from the coast in an idyllic and peaceful countryside setting, and has a collection of holiday cottages. We stayed in Porthcothan Cottage which was dog friendly so we could take Mabel too and was the perfect base to enjoy exploring the local area.

Just down the road from Merlin Farm is Bedruthan Steps with glorious walks along the coast. There is a National Trust Cafe in the carpark with magical coastal views.

Autumn sunsets in Cornwall are hard to beat. We enjoyed watching the sun going down at Watergate Bay- Newquay.

Magical moments with my daughter- captured on film. Autumn 25- Mawgan Porth Beach.

What a beautiful location Merlin Farm was. Such a peaceful setting in the countryside just set back from the coast.

You could walk through the woods from Merlin Farm down to the beach, which was so lovely.

Getting away from it all at Merlin Farm.

We were so fortunate with the weather during our stay, beautiful sunny days and magical sunsets on the coast. Love dog walks on the beach in the last light of the day.

There was so much to see and do in the local area. We enjoyed visiting Padstow and had lunch at

Prideaux Walled Garden where the food was delicious and the walled garden setting delightful.

Thanks so much to Merlin Farm for such a relaxing and enjoyable couple of days in North Cornwall. Pr Stay xx

Here are some of my favourite recommendations for enjoying in the local area-

Mawgan Porth beach is really beautiful and a bit quieter than its neighbours at Watergate Bay & Newquay. All the beaches along this stretch of coastline are stunning though, and great for surfing.

The Pizza outside Cornish Fresh was really good in Mawgan Porth, all freshly made by the beach.

GORSE Bakery- Lanteague Studios outside Newquay. We loved it here, went everyday for fresh bread, cakes and oat milk hot chocolates! PETALON flowers have an honesty shed here too for bunches of locally grown seasonal blooms. Gorgeous!

Newquay Harbour for a swim.

Loads of stylish independent stores and cafes in Newquay to enjoy.

R Place at Porth, Newquay was such a stylish and friendly independent store. We loved shopping there!

A day trip to Padstow- beautiful beaches at Constantine Bay, Harlyn and Trevone, and highly recommend Prideaux Walled Garden- the food was excellent and such a pretty garden setting in the middle of Padstow Town.

xx
